Canada 2006 is an adventure trip that is designed to give our current 8th and 9th grade students an opportunity to encounter God, others and themselves through work projects, mountainous excursions and a personal time with God. The team will travel to Banff, Alberta, Canada, in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Through this trip the 8th and 9th grade students will establish life-long friendships with each other which will continue as they move into the Senior High Student Ministry as well as deepening their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Canada Adventure 2006 is a service project and wilderness opportunity. The students will travel by coach bus to a Christian camp called Frontier Lodge and assist them in work projects and participate in wilderness excursions. The options include backpack trips, rock climbing, repelling, mountain biking, hiking, the Tyrolean traverse over a canyon, caving, and white water canoeing.
 
 Frontier Lodge is operated by Chuck and Cindy Bourn who are Christian Missionaries from Wooddale Church in Minnesota. The students will enjoy many wilderness experiences in the Canadian Rockies and encounter God in the midst of His creation. The combination of hard work, breathtaking surroundings, close fellowship and fun, will unite our 8th & 9th graders together as they will soon be in 9th and 10th grade shortly after the trip. We will also have a few of our older senior high students along to help build relationships and be mentors and disciples of these newly 9th and 10th grade students.

Sunday Arrive @ West Ed. Mall 9:00 a.m. /Frontier Lodge about 9:00 p.m. (eat at the mall)

Monday Work projects during the day/Evening Excursion (crescent falls)

Tuesday Excursions Hike Hoodoo Creek/Heli-Biking at the Coliseum (helicopter mountain biking)

Wednesday Camp @ Kootney plains - Rock Climbing/Tyrolean Traverse/Mt. Biking/Hiking Vision quest

Thursday Rock Climbing/Tyrolean Traverse/Mt. Biking/Hiking Sifler Falls

Friday Excursions (mountain biking, Wappiabi caving, Canoeing.

The adventure has begun! Ahead lies relationships, challenges, growth and excitement! This Canada adventure will present students with opportunities to be challenged physically and spiritually in one of the most scenic areas of the world. Majestic mountains, the glacial ice fields, woodlands, alpine meadows, waterfalls, and assorted wildlife are all aspects of Gods creation to be appreciated. The revitalized relationships and new friendships with other students, staff, and with God which will develop on the adventure will make the experience life-changing.
